It also highlights that food decisions are among the most pressing concerns for African Americans and have been one way by which they have explored personal and group identities as well as national and diaspora identities.

Connections Food Festival
This consulting project for The NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy proposes Connections Food Festival an opportunity for migrants, refugees and asylum seekers to legally and equitably be integrated into the labor market through social entrepreneurship. A city sponsored food festival would allow opportunities to share cultures, gain dignified employment and pathways to citizenship.

City Farms
This consulting project for The NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy proposes City Farms, a community based urban agriculture organization. The non-profit exists to provide access to safe, nutritious, locally grown and culturally appropriate foods.
