About Me
​As a curious and empathetic design researcher, service designer and design strategist with 10+ years of experience, Aki Akinola applies design thinking and innovation to manage complex challenges and create new opportunities for clients, organizations, and most importantly, people.
​
​Aki is also an academic and cultural researcher focusing on the domains of migration, food systems, food equity and diaspora foodways with the goal of building sustainable food futures for marginalized and vulnerable communities throughout the world.
To that end, he has earned an MBA in Design Strategy, and an MA in Culture Studies with a focus on Food Systems, Food Equity and Diaspora Foodways.

Aki is culturally competent having lived in five countries and having studied and worked across three continents. He is an optimistic futurist, connector, innovator, life long learner and explorer that leads with integrity, creativity and a “can do” attitude!​
